Xbox One now supports for Blu-ray Disc Recordable (BD-R) and Blu-ray Disc Recordable Erasable (BD-RE) formats. The console already supports 4K UHD Disc and videos.
Earlier, Per Mike Ybarra tweets that an app update for the Blu-ray player will be released, to support this new functionality.

Blu-ray Player app update is now available. You can go to Store and download Blu-ray Player app. Support for BD-R and BD-RE Blu-ray discs is available on both original Xbox One and Xbox One S.
