Twitter is testing new dark mode or night theme which will auto activate at night. New Twitter dark mode feature is available for testers only with Android version 5.112.0-alpha.423. New night theme for Android can switch from a white background to a darker blue background with blue elements, according to location and time of the day.
Twitter dark mode will be released along with the new Material redesign. Apart from night mode, the company is also testing a new Material redesign interface layout, overflow buttons, a hamburger slide-out menu, and floating action buttons such as for composing new tweets. There are more rumors that company will end 140 character limit on media posts.
