Apple is fixing Safari’s Twitter bug

Apple’s OS X El Capitan for Mac brought in many welcome features when it was released last year, but also had a few pesky bugs One, in particular, affected how Twitter loaded in Safari: when users clicked on a shortened “t.co” Twitter link, a blank page or error page would load in Safari rather than the content they were supposed to see. (The issue was only in Safari, not in Chrome or Firefox.)

Fortunately, the latest test version of OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.4, appears to fix the problem, as first reported by MacRumors. El Cap beta users have reported this as well. Clicking on Twitter short links should now bring you to the content you’re supposed to see in Safari.

OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 was just released as a public beta, which means that users who have signed up for the beta program using their Apple IDs will have access to it, but we’re told a finalized version of 10.11.4 might not be out for a month or so.
